In Philippines, does it mean you can rob, you can kill as far that you are an ally you wont go to jail?

I'm ashamed to say, yes, that seems to be the case. If you are well-connected with the right people in power, you're virtually untouchable. That's go to change, but the culture of corruption is so deeply rooted in the Philippines... I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel just yet. :(

The ampatuan really seem untouchable. with all the testimonies and evidence pointing to amptuan, none of them was invited for investigation. in fact the police retracted the previous statement that ampatuans are suspects. What a shame!!!! If only they are ordinary people, they are behind bars now by virtue of warrant of arrest.

Arroyo government really has some sort of utang na loob for the 12-0 result during her presidential election that is why she is treating ampatuan with extra extra extra favorable and careful treatment. The arroyo even refused to suspend ampatuans from their posts which usually should be done in conducting investigation. They did suspend so many local governemnt officials of opposition by reason of an administrative controversies, why cant they do this to ampatuans? This is a massive barbaric evil and worst criminal offense... why cant they do that!???

Circumstantial evendence only? The bako machine and the operator are just cicumstancial evidence? Granted these are circumstancial.isn't it sufficient probable cause to file a complaint against the ampatuan and issue a warrant of arrest against them
What a shame !! Arroyo government is such a shameless governemnt. PGMA is not only corrupt but also shameless.

Christians and muslims should unite in condeming this barbaric acts of few. There should be no issue as to whether you are muslim or christians. In fact muslims are victims here. Their borthers and sisters and their reputations. Only few perpertrated this and our Muslim brothers and sisters should not be generalized and accused.

Letss unite. Lets live peacefully and respect each others religion, custom and culture. And lets unite in keeping peace and order in mndanao. Lets unite in ousting those who have committed abuse of authority. Lets unite for better governance of Maguindanao.

Im not from mindanao. Im not a muslim.Im not even an activist. Im a Christian and a lawyer but i really feel so bad about this. Its getting into my nerve. This is a crime against humanity. A crime to all Filipino people. A crime against all of us. A crime committed by privileged few favored by the government.

Im ashamed that we have such kind of government. Its time to oust her out...her party out of governemnt. Manalo na ang iba wag lang manok ni gloria.

do you think the situation is just too good to be true? I mean like a free web hosting. we thought its totaly free but behind is something we dont know!. Maguindanao is very hot when election comes, not only to the voters but also to the candidates. Maguindanao is a candidates dream, why coz they can easily manipulate the voters there. Like last election Lacson got zero coz. Gloria knockdown da king. If you have the maguindanao's blessing that would make a difference. What if behind of the troubles in maguindanao was not only responsible for the Ampatuan and Mangudadatu but also those politician running in high places in malacanang? Ampatuan and Mangudadatu are just puppet! now where are we going to start if we want changes in the promise land?

What I really mean is. These people who we think are responsible are not stupid. They have money, power, connection. There must be a big reason that drives them to do such stupid and brutal act.If I were Ampatuan, I cant afford to do such massacre. I can kill theme in different way, a silent way. But that sittuation is a puzzle.

Be paranoid in this way we can push them to dig deeper about Maguindanao Massacre…..

This incident should be a wake-up call for all of us that Mindanao is also a part of the Philippines. This massacre in Maguindanao is a clear sign of the failure of our government to put law, justice and order in a land rich with culture, resources and people!

LET US NOT BLAME OUR MUSLIM BROTHERS! JUDGEMENT IS NOT OURS. THIS IS AN ACT DONE BY FEW. JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED! LET US UNITE FOR JUSTICE!

As to recall what happen siya ang hinihintay na magsalita during that time, pero ang clever talaga nagsalita na ang lahat pero siya kapal muks talaga, hinihintay lang ang basbas para maging presidente wala ka man lang marinig sa kanya against erap til such time na sigurado na aalis na si erap sa pwesto.

Tol taya ako sa yo lang mangyayari dyan katulad nang ibang mga isyo. Dapat umalsa na ang mga tao. la sa history nang isang bansa na nakamit ang pagbabago na walang sakripisyo na nang yari. Alam muna ang ibig kung sabihin. look at all the progressive/developed countries like america and europe, papugot ako nang ulo kun may pagbabago na walng sakripisyo.

the government seems to tolerate their abusive behaviour, they dont respect anyone here in
mindanao, they think of themselves as the supreme ruler
i hope something can be done to stop more bloodshed

Let's hope that justice will be served but reality is . . . it will not! Just hope GOD WILL GIVE THE FINAL JUSTICE! May God give peace to the souls of all the victims.
