- When did you start blogging in earnest? Which blog platform did you use 1st?
- mid year of 2004 using Multiply as a platform to share to friends and strangers photos of places I’ve been to all over Mindanao.
- Why do you blog? What/who gave you that 1st push?
- My work with USAID-GEM allowed me to travel to various places in Mindanao, including the “hot spots” in ARMM region, where nobody would dare go there. I guess going to these dangerous places (as often tagged by ignorants) inspired me to talk about it mainly because I’ve met people from ARMM region who are very friendly and talked so passionately about how beautiful their place is, contrary to what we always see in the Net or on the news. I would say also that Bob Martin has also pushed me by confirming that what I write about is great and has been generous to offer me to shift my blog from multiply to his mindanao.com domain.
- Tell us about this featured blog. Purpose? Target audience?
- It speaks of how beautiful Mindanao is (both place and people). I grew up in Manila and had stereotyped Mindanao as a dangerous place and very backwards. Its been more than a decade, and i still hear the same comments. I wanted to change that perspective and make Mindanao synonymous to travel and leisure. Its high time locals, OFWs and foreigners learn what they have been missing :-0

- 2. I have maintained my multiply account and maej.mindanao.com, which i update on a monthly basis.
- What “offline” activities do you do to promote your blog(s)?
- none. most of my audience check out my blog because i’m also a contributor in Bob Martin’s www.mindanao.com/photoblog.
- What/who inspires you to keep on blogging? How come?
- Mandy inspires me all the time because we are wanderlusts. We can’t sit still on a weekend without going anywhere outside of Davao!
- Do you currently monetize your blog(s)? How?

Yeah, when i heard Mindanao i feel afraid because of things happening there. I can read them through the net. But still i want to visit the place to see the beautiful places, the rich gift of nature. I will visit the place someday. And when i have a time to visit the place i will make sure that LMT is with me again. So i can stay in a good hotel with good price. And of course to save some money because of their great deals.
It's nice to know that you are a filipino. Kababayan, i'm proud of you! I wish that your blog site will become the one of the best sites from philippines.
I think it's hard to change about the thing that Mindanao is a dangerous place. As of now the place again is facing another tragic event which is the 57 people massacre.
