The Mindanao Bloggers Summit’s objective is to bring together bloggers of all shapes and sizes, of varied beliefs and convictions, to a common venue, and hopefully together come up with answers to this question: What can we accomplish as bloggers to contribute to peace and understanding in Mindanao? At the Summit, we will strive to present resolutions to address this.

In order to accomplish this, a pre-Summit workshop will be conducted on 19 October 2007 at Fwendz Diner, from 6:30 to around 8:30 PM. The topic is The Role of Bloggers in Fostering Understanding & Peace in Mindanao. Davao-based bloggers who would like to share their thoughts and ideas are invited to join this workshop. Please contact me if you’re interested.

There will also be a similar workshop which will be held during the Summit. This is so that bloggers from other parts of Mindanao can also provide their own input.

It’s just 3 weeks to go before the 1st Mindanao Bloggers Summit. See you in Davao soon!

  • OK. Jun and Bryan, I will expect you guys to be with us promptly at 6:30pm on 19 Oct @ Fwendz Diner. We will be joined by the workshop facilitators from the ACT for Peace Programme (an NGO that is working towards a peaceful Mindanao).

Inasmuch as we'd like to welcome as many as we can to this workshop, our generous sponsor has committed to serve dinner to only 7 people. Well... if there are more of us, we'll try to work something out. :)
