Review-writing competition opening salvo

It’s the first of August, and it’s the opening day of the You Got Blogged! DigitalFilipino.com / MindanaoBloggers.com Review-a-Blog Competition. Here’s an overview of the steps necessary to participate in this blog contest.

Step 1: • Browse the Mindanao Blog Directory, and choose a blog that you’d like to review.
Step 2: • Write a 300- to 400-word review of the blog you’ve chosen. Be thorough yet concise. You may use English, Tagalor or Visayan (Cebuano) to write your review.; • Don’t forget to cite the source! Link to the blog you are reviewing from your post.; • Make sure that you include the required footer at the end of your review post. This is how it looks like:

Join the DigitalFilipino.com Club!

On 27 October 2007, come to Davao City for the
1st Mindanao Bloggers Summit!; • Post your review to your own blog.
Step 3: • Go to http://mindanaobloggers.com/events/review-a-blog/#pform to submit your entry. Please fill out all the necessary fields, and make sure that the URL of your post is correct. Inaccessible posts will not be included in the competition.; • That’s it!

As soon as your entry is verified, it will appear on the entries page.

Remember: each participant may review up to 5 different blogs. And each blog in the Directory may be reviewed by up to a maximum of 15 different bloggers. For the You Got Blogged! competition guidelines, please refer to this page.

@Are-wee-der-yet, oo nga, i just realized, our blogs cannot be reviewed (sigh!).

"This competitionâ€™s entries are reviews of blogs listed in the Directory, but excluding those blogs that are found in the â€œMindanao Loversâ€ category."

Dami ko pa namang blogs about Mindanao...and it is like second home to me...hehe.

Merong lusot dyan eh. If you're IN a place in Mindanao, or FROM anywhere in Mindanao, you can submit your blog under that sub-category. Like, merong taga-Davao na nasa Manila na ngayon, he submitted his blog to the Directory under "Davao City". Pwede yon. ;)

we're rethinking the policy re Mindanao Lovers category, guys... the point is to focus on Mindanao blogs, but we do realize that blogs in the Mindanao Lovers category talk about the island so... i'll keep you updated! :)

@Blogie - Well I think I am already IN. My blog (Construction Chemicals is now in the Mindanao Blog Directory) is up for review but it seems that nothing significant happened to it..I don't see any review(s) yet. :-)

@vicubs -- Yes, my young Padawan, you can post your own reviews. It's not very complicated: it's just like writing your own post. Write a review about a blog found in our directory, and that's it! Good luck! :)
