New date for MBS1

It’s official. The 1st Mindanao Bloggers Summit (MBS1) will now be held on 20 October 2007 (this is also a Saturday). This is in keeping with the decision of the people behind the Mindanao ICT Congress to move all the events a week earlier.

We, the organizers of MBS1, sincerely apologize to anyone who might have already made arrangements to come to Davao for an October 27th event. Hopefully you will still be able to make it to the Summit.

On a positive note, we will be running an MBS1-related contest! Watch out for the announcement on this blog! :)

    Is the date final? I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll be able to join. I’ll just have to Fix my time offs.. hehee! can anyone help me find a nice, cheap, and cozy place to stay there during the event? It has been more than 2 years the last time I visited Davao. :D Thanks.

    The 27th is final, Beejing. :)

    Davao-based bloggers are asked if they are willing to host visiting bloggers during registration. Some have indicated that they are, so don’t worry about accommodations. There will be some of us in the organizing team who will take care of coordinating accommodation requirements of our visitors. We can’t promise to provide lodging for everyone, but we’ll sure try to do our best!

    *sigh…* I knew I’d be getting flak for this. It’s not the organizing team’s fault, you know. But at this point, I don’t want finger-pointing anymore. We all have to work together to bring success to the MBS and to the larger Mindanao ICT Congress.

    No need to be confused anymore, Beejing. The 27th is final. I’ll be publishing an official announcement on this blog soon.
